Jerry Smith’s Testimony

I was saved at the age of 13 at Victory Baptist Church in Macon, Ga. I was raised in a Christian home by Godly parents. My wife and I have been members at Canaan Baptist Church since 1982. We have always had a heart for missions and missionaries. God called me to preach when I was a young man. I never dreamed that God would call me to the mission field. After I learned of the Helps ministry for Missionaries, God worked in my life to make me see that this was what He wanted me to do. At the same time God was dealing with my wife about serving Him also. We both surrendered to the Lord to do His will for our lives. We met with our Pastor, Dr. Scott Caudill and asked him to help us pray and for his counsel. We were approved as missionaries with Macedonia World Baptist Missions to work in the field of International Missionary Helps in May of 2010. We are now serving  to be a help to struggling churches and missionaries around the world. God has allowed us to help in Kiribati, Grand Cayman, New Zealand and several states in the United States. We are currently at about 60% of our needed support but we are trusting the Lord to supply our needs as we serve. We serve out of the Canaan Baptist Church and our Pastor is Dr, Billy Ingram. Denise Smith’s Testimony

I was saved at age 9 at Smyrna Baptist Church in Macon, Ga. I was raised in a Christian home and have been in church all my life. I have always had a love for missions and have prayed for years that God would call a young person or young couple in our church to the mission field. On Mission Sunday 2009 at our home church Canaan Baptist Church in Covington, GA., I was praying that God would call someone from our church to the mission field. As I was praying God spoke to my heart and let me know He wanted me and my husband to be missionaries. I told God at that moment He had my whole life and I would go and do anything He wanted me to do. My whole life changed that day. I told my husband what had happened after church and he told me the Lord had called him also. We spoke to our pastor Dr. Scott Caudill and with his blessing we were accepted by Macedonia World Baptist Missions. It is our desire to serve the Lord and help missionaries all over the world.
